AHEPA 29 Educational Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Program


The Scholarship/Grant Program was established to promote, encourage, and advance education at the college or university level.  The purpose of the scholarships/grants is to assist students to continue their education.


If you are awarded a scholarship/grant from another HOUSTON, TEXAS METROPOLITAN AREA AHEPA Family Chapter (“Other Award”), any scholarship/grant awarded to you under this program will be reduced by the amount of the Other Award. 

In order to be eligible for a scholarship/grant, the applicant must reside in the HOUSTON, TEXAS METROPOLITAN area and meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

A. (i)  A member of the Sons of Pericles, Maids of Athena, Daughters of Penelope, or AHEPA; or

(ii)  The son or daughter of an AHEPA Family member in good standing; or

(iii)  Submit a membership application along with their Scholarship/Grant Application (priority is given to applicants who are members or submit a membership application along with their scholarship/grant application); or

B. The applicant or one of their parents must be a member in good standing of a Greek Orthodox Christian Church in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. 

C. Applicants not meeting the requirements of A or B above may apply but any award will be based on the availability of funds, if any.

II. CREDENTIALS: Additional information to be emailed/submitted along with the completed application (originals are not needed, copies are acceptable).  The application and all information must be emailed.

A. Graduating High School students must submit High School Transcript and SAT/ACT scores. 

B. College students must submit copy of College Transcript.

C. Graduate students must submit college transcript and graduate school transcript.

D. All applicants must submit a photo.

E. AHEPA Family membership application, optional.

2020 Scholarship Applications are no longer accepted. The 2021 Scholarship Application will be posted approximately April 1, 2021.
